A mother's prayer(my road to success)
My name is Beverly Baxter. I am 27 years old. I am a single mother to a wonderful two year old son. I work a 9-5 36 hours a week for $8.25 a hour. My story begins here.
A mother's prayer(my road to success)
Everyday after I get off of work, I sit up at night with my cup of coffee looking around my apartment as I watch my precious little boy sleep at night. I begin to talk to God about life, this world, society, etc....I always asked God. "God why is this struggle so tough?" "God show me a better way, a better life." "God my son want's more time with me but the work days never ends." I cried sometimes, I fussed sometimes, I even cried myself to sleep sometimes, but still the hurt, pain, sorrow, struggle, was still there.

I spent countless days and night reading, writing(as I am now), thinking and wondering, what's out there to change my son and I life. I was always thankful to have a job, but I started thinking hard and feeling different then some. I felt as if I was trapped in a ditch trying to climb out. I looked that my life was the same routine everyday with no difference nor change. Get up, make breakfast, send my son off to daycare, go to work, come home, cook dinner, spend the little time I have with my son, put my son to bed, clean up, go to bed, same thing tomorrow. WHERE IS MY LIFE GOING DOING THIS? NOWHERE.....I am literally getting up, being told when to come to work, what to do when I'm there, how to do it, when to take a break, when to go home, etc....etc....

With that being said. I looked and said to myself. "Beverly, don't you realize that you are just building the founder of your company's dreams. Bringing him more revenue, busting your butt to get a little paycheck that will only pay your bills and leave you broke every week, knowing you have a chance of losing your job, getting fired, laid-off, job downsizing, or more. Thinking then what will I do. God find another job knowing the same thing could and or will eventually happen. Not being able to enjoy the moments and have memories with my son. I asked myself "Beverly do you want to work another 40 years and miss out on the times that mean the most in your sons life?" "Do you want to miss out on what the world has that's out there?" "Do you want to struggle for the rest of your life or do you want a change?" YES.....I knew that working will not get me where I want to be in life.

College....Hmmmmmm.....Well, I have completed two years of college with over 30k in debt loans and it landed me at a job unloading trucks for $8.25 and hour. Yes college is a wonderful success for some, but not for me. There are hundred of thousands of people who have completed college with Bachelors and Master degree's and have yet to find a job in their profession. Some succeed but a percent don't and that leaves them at a job under paid struggling to pay off loans that they will still be owing when their time come.

Now don't get me wrong some people enjoy working and going to college and I salute any and all who do, but it comes a point in our lives when life, society, and this world should truly be looked at. A lot of people depends on a job, government assistance, etc...Not knowing that at anytime you can be jobless and very soon government assistance will no longer be handed out or around. Is it wrong? To a certain extent, but that's another blogging topic.

Now what is the overall meaning of my blog. A mother's prayer(my road to success). Well, I struggled for years and I still do. I'm no different then anyone, but I wanted a change that I know will give me the time I want with my son, give him the things in life I never had, being able to leave behind a fortune without him having to struggle, and being able to help other people help themselves, and more. I didn't find. I was presented an opportunity, and when I heard opportunity my heart lit up because an opportunity truly only come's once in a lifetime. I took heed to everything that was presented to me and everything that I looked over. There was no second guessing nor thought because I know the storm was soon going to be over.

What is this opportunity. Well, this is an opportunity I took where I am able to save, manage, make money, become debt free, and more. I knew this was the start to changing my life and more. I see this world and society and sometimes pray to God that some people would truly open their eyes and see, but sometimes we are blinded by are own insights. Sometimes it takes a little push of encouragement and eye opening to get some to see.
